Bruderheim

Stone, (L6). This meteorite fell on March 4, 1960 at 0806 in the morning in Alberta, Canada. Many people saw a bright fireball and a shower of stones fell in a 3 km area near Bruderheim. Over 303 kilograms were found. Bruderheim is a gorgeous fresh fall and it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get.

I recently completed a large exchange with the US National Museum (Smithsonian) in Washington DC.

Specimen #3 is the last of those pieces, USNM Collection #6598. I got a total of 54 grams of fragments. ONLY specimen #3  include a photocopy of the museum label and exchange paperwork to prove provenance.

All of the other specimens are from a scientist who worked on Bruderheim just after the fall, and are from the University of Alberta.
