 This meteorite fell on December 15, 1978 at 18:50 hrs in Zacatecas, Mexico. After a fireball moving from NE to SW and explosions, a shower of hundreds of stone fell. Most of the stones were very small and the total known weight is less than 10 kilograms. Nuevo Mercurio is a chondrite, H5.
